A utopia, a world of perfection. In the chaos of our modern day a world like that seems almost as impossible as flying pigs. But perhaps somewhere, somewhere beyond comprehension it exists. I imagine that the utopia will be a place of diversity and acceptance. A place where incompetence, laziness and unintelligence is nonexistent. It seems like a contradiction to the first statement, but my utopia would have a diverse group of people who contribute to society rather than trash it and waste its resources. With those circumstances I believe society will flourish unlike how it is in our current one. We allow too many people to freeload on our system, virtually screwing it. Together, we are dragged down because of these people and they waste our hard work. This is why in my utopia there will be no such people. Jobs will be performed correctly, schools will really teach, and people will be successful rather then a burden to the utopia.
Another factor within my utopia would be the environmental conservation. People have been misusing the earth’s precious resources for centuries, something that needs to stop now. My utopia would be not only self sufficient in our ways, but also giving back to the environment. Trees and greenery would be plentiful, and organics would rule the diet. Recycling would be mandated, as well as a system for sorting different materials. Also, a portion of taxes would go back to helping the environment, and in turn helping the people themselves. This massive effort would help slow down, if not stop the hazardous problems of global warming.
Alas, such a place cannot exist because of the sheer power of laziness. We have become accustomed to our way of life, to take the easy way out instead of doing whats right. Eradication of this attitude would help to fix it, but people figure: Why bother?
